Client: Sondex
Project: Rebrand & Marketing Deliverables

Sondex, a UK plc with international divisions, design and manufacture market leading downhole tool-systems to oil field service companies that run operations at the well for oil or gas companies.

Sondex selected Sticky following an exhaustive provider review process. They had not long been launched on the stock market and recognised that their marketing deliverables and overall brand were in need of an uplift and refresh as they were neither effective nor representational of their business.

It was decided that a brand evolution rather than revolution would develop the best of the old identity, whilst discarding elements that no longer accurately reflected the true values of the company. After a consultation and creative development, the evolved logo and platform statement more accurately reflected the precision, reliability and partnering ethos of Sondex, whilst at the same time being easier and more cost-effective to reproduce consistently on deliverables.

A set of brand guidelines were established to help communicate and foster understanding of the brand to both the employee audience, primarily engineering professionals, and to external audiences including regional agencies, sign-makers, for example. One voice was realised.

Finally, marketing deliverables were produced, brochures and language translation versions were designed by liaising with the technical product managers and establishing a standard. Photography following the standard of the visual territory guidelines and text copy following the one voice standard were produced. A corporate website, stationery, signage, merchandise and many other deliverables were re-branded in the new and consistent identity, more truly reflecting the essence of this leading Energy company.
